Pinky My Little Girl

My friend had a horse whose foal was born with the front legs like this; it sometimes happens when the baby is very large & the legs can't stretch out in the womb :( I think the tendons have tightened so the foot curls under. She needs to see a vet to see if they can do any physiotherapy on her front paws, they can with dogs etc but I am not too sure about guinea pigs :(

Oh no poor pig! :( I had one called Pinky too.
Can she still hobble around?

Poor angel, as Poppy's Mum has said I think she needs to see a vet so they can decide if something can be done. Does she seem in any pain?

She can get about on her legs both front legs are like this x I got her like this xx she is 6 mths old I think I need a guineapig vet in Southend

I've only had her about two weeks it has taken a while to get her tame as she was do scared x

I hope you can find a vet who can give you some advice and help Pinky be able to walk more normally. Has she got any callouses on her joints because she's not able to flex her legs.

I just had a look on the Vet locator and there is a recommended vet in Snodland, is that anywhere near you?

She may also benefit from a friend especially as she is disabled.

Seen this sort of problem on a tv program about dogs when I was at my parents.
Think it was a problem where the legs didn't have enough development in the muscles. It was given intense physiotherapy &I think hydrotherapy. The dog made a nearly complete if not complete recovery&walked almost normally afterwards.
Hopefully u can get it sorted by a cavy savvy vet. Have you tried the.vet locator at the top of the website?
Think the dog program was a Paul o'Grady one. Not sure if u can find the episode for ideas on catchup tv or whatever replays programs.
She lo

oh my phone decided to post before I had finished!
Was going to say. She looks a sweetie &just noticed poppys mum said about tendons.
Make sure she gets pain relief if she needs it,but would enquire about physio to get her back to a more normal leg position. To hopefully make her generally more comfortable too. Wye

Aww poor little mite! she is gorgeous by the way, A very cute piggy indeed :)

Definitely take her to the vets, they may be able to do something for her, and if not they will be able to make suggestions as to how you can make her life easier! I have also posted on your other thread about her care x

Awww, bless her.

I have had a good google and search through this forum and found a link to vets called

They appear to be your closest and have an interest in piggies, I would recommend getting her seen
