I talked about Piper in a thread in the general guinea pig chat area because I was looking for some comfort/advice and I'm new here and everyone was so kind, and they recommended I post a memorial for him here. It's almost been a week without my little friend and my heart hurts so much. Piper was 4 and he lived a happy life. He was a rescue and I got him when he was 2 and 1/2 so I only had a year and a half with him but it was such a great and fun time, and no amount of time would've felt like enough. He was so loving and he never once bit me (not even during nail-clipping time which he hated so much) or anyone else that came over. Even when he was meeting new friends, he was super calm no matter how overexcited they were. He was a very simple piggy, because when I first got him, I would buy him a couple of little toys from the pet store and he just ignored them, but when I gave him an empty toilet paper roll, he was so happy and he chewed on that like there was no tomorrow. He didn't even really like fancy guinea pig treats from the pet store, just good old-fashioned fruits and veggies (especially apples). He was so simple! Maybe he was just too good for the world. Anyways, I love him so much and I always will - he was my first piggy and my introduction to how loving and fun these special animals are.
