Hi All,

I thought I would give a little update on Pippin and Nutmeg (was originally Emily). Though at home they tend to get called Pipsqueak and Nuttie! I have had them both about 5 weeks now, and they have settled well and I adore them! I could sit and watch/chat to them all day! They have a set up in my kitchen and an outdoor run – which they love, run around and do loads of popcorning!

Their personalities are coming through, Pippin has taken over and now comes up to the cage each morning and when I get home with work for food! Nutmeg, is starting to join him but runs off when I go towards the cage, then runs back once she remembers I have food! Pippin definitely loves his food!

Nutmeg is still a little skittish, maybe she will always be like this, but she seems to be getting used to me, I had cuddles with her the other night and she tends to snuggle down on my knee, nibbling on a bit of food or chit chatting away and seems to be very relaxed, Pippin is good at sitting on my knee and he has a specific little noise he now makes wants a wee so I know when to pop him back! I have been wee’d on a couple of times, but now we have an understanding, hopefully no more! Ha ha!

I have trimmed them loads and they still have loads of hair! But I think their new messy trim is cute!

I also have 2 rescue cats, who the piggies seem to love, the cats are interested in them but not over fussed, the piggies come up to the cage’s when the cats are close by and are not bothered at all! When they were all in the kitchen together the piggies paid no interest to them at all, and when the piggies moved both cats ran away! It was quite amusing!

I have attached a few pics, am afraid they are not the best, my phone camera isn’t too good! So that’s it for the update! All I can say is I am loving having them!

Come on rome italy we need your beauties now.

It is so nice to hear how well Pippin and Nutmeg are settling in. You are lucky that they like being on your lap. Jingle tolerates it but Mistletoe generally freezes and waits to be put back in her cage!

Hello lovely Pippin and Nutmeg! I am so happy that you have such a wonderful home with Helen.
The photos are brilliant, they are a very photogenic pair of piggies l must admit.
It was worth the long wait to find the right home for them, they certainly have landed on their paws.
Thankyou for the update and l am glad that you have caught the piggy bug xx
