Okay So I have been keeping you all updated with "Peaches" Well after we picked her up we went to Our local Pet Store to make sure she was indeed a Girl... And they said she is a Boy! So we changed her name to"Mr. Peanut" He is 11 Months Old. Healthly and now Happy!:D The only downside is Him and Pumpkin cannot share the huge cage I bought:eek:

@LilPeaches Look at your Baby boy! You've gotta change your username now, Haha!

Mr Peanut is gorgeous. Is he not neutered? If he is neutered he should be ok in the cage with Pumpkin.

No.. We weren't gong to neutered because of the risks. You gotta have them put to sleep while it happens! And it's about $80-$200 to get it done in the USA :hmm:

He is gorgeous!

I am sorry that the gender did not work out for you and there is no good rescue anywhere near you, which is making the search for a suitable companion very difficult.

PS: By that age, sexing boars should be pretty straight forward as they have a well developed "treasure chest". You can also use this link here with pictures of male and female piggies next to each other at different stages of their lives: http://www.cavyspirit.com/sexing.htm

He really is a lovely piggie. Who made the mistake with the sexing? Its shocking if it was the pet store.

The privet seller we got him from said when they got Him at a Pet Store they said it was a girl... So we checked our Pet Store and they said its a Clear Boy:hmm:

Missexing is unfortunately not at all uncommon. Babies look a lot more similar before the testicles descend. Sadly, so many shop staff are not at all experienced. :(
