my girls don't play full stop! they eat, sleep and poop. though if you have jessie out she will take off! zoe just sits there saying yeah you put me down so now you pick me up.
i have known people to build mazes for their piggies. others have three containers say red, blue, green and will hide food say everytime under the blue but will move the blue container and in a short time the piggy no matter where it is will always go for the blue container. i think you have to build up the piggies trust at a young age and start to play at a young age too, otherwise like people they get set in their ways.
