Hi, my 3yo pig has been making this noise every so often it bouts of about 5/6 squeaks every half hour or so. He started late yesterday afternoon. He only had a little bit of cucumber this morning. I'm waiting for the local vets to open at 10.30 to take him down but I'm not sure they are very pig savvy, does anyone know what could cause this?
To add, he was weeing and pooing ok last nite, but i havent seen anything from him this morning. Possibly sounds a bit wheezy occasionally.

 
Oh poor piggy - I’ve never heard a noise like this before! There are some very knowledgable people on here that will know far more than me - but you’re doing the right thing getting him to a vet ASAP. Good luck, I hope you get him sorted x
 
I'm not sure not seen anything quite like that before.
did you take him to the vets? What did they say?
It looks more than just "heaving hiccups" , is he trying to wee or poop when he does it?
Might be worth asking about pain issues/meds if it's hurting him?
Let us know how u get on he's gorgeous xx
 
Hi yes hes just come back home after an afternoon at the vets under surveillance. They suspect bladder issues and have prescribed metacam and baytril with a follow up in a couple of days. Thank you for your reply x
