Hello.

Anyone knows is it safe for me to use mosquito repellent in form of tablets that goes into device plugged in electricy around my guinea pigs? I appologize for not describing it better english is not my first language haha. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about. Of course that mosquito repellant device is not IN ANY physical contact with guinea pigs. I'm just curious if the scent that comes out from tablets can harm their health? Also I want to add it's impossible to even sleep without repellant cause mosquitos here are so crazy.

Thank you so much :)

I can't answer your question, not immediately anyway, but what is it that's in these tablets? Is it citronella or something else? Because knowing what the ingredient is would help us answer you.

I found only this for ingredients:

Active Ingredients:
Prallethrin (Pyrethroid) 9mg/mat
Piperonyl Butoxide (synergist) 15mg/mat

Welcome to the forum! A lot of mosquito repellents that you spray on your body are pretty much always non toxic to pets, but I'm not completely sure about the plug-in kind. Maybe just keep it in another room?

Thank you for welcoming me :)

I found my answer on product specifications. I can't use it around my piggies. Well the bright side is that at least they won't get mosquito bites since I'll be the "victim" lol.

Thank you so much for helping me! Have a nice day 😊

Hello there,

There is nothing that I know of that is a plug in. However, oculus you try some spray around thee edges near their cage?

x

Plug ins look something like this in the picture. They don't come in physical contact with humans or animals. Mosquitos escape from the scent that spreads from tablets in device. It's not like spray type of repellant.
Thank you for advice :)

In all honesty, from someone who clearly has very tasty blood and gets bitten A LOT, I find most of the products available are pretty useless. I have tried absolutely everything. Jungle fever spray and any of the sprays with deet in seem to be the best but it is a potent chemical and not very safe. My hubby once told me alcohol works as it's a toxin in your blood, that was our first holiday together and needless to say I woke up covered in bites with a hangover... I won't be listening to him again

Your welcome. These are my piggies 💝. The tricolored is Alfie and the white is Archie. They are both boars😁.
Yes. I love them so much. Thank you for the compliment 😊

I'm always getting bitten! We'll go out in the middle of the day for a few hours and I'll come back with 5-10 bites all over me while the rest of my family has none! The mosquitoes love me!

I'm the same, 5 minutes outside covered in bites. Doesn't seem to matter what I do or try either. I'm just a big mosquito magnet. :hb:
