She is very lucky to have such a caring parent 💕
Thank you for your encouragement. I will continue to persevere. In fact, I should truly thank you all, thank this forum, and most of all, thank Piggies&Buns. Without him, I don't know what my child would have become. I don't know how to express my gratitude. On behalf of my mother and my child, I bow to you! This is truly how I feel, really! Piggies&Buns has never grown tired of helping me! Even Chinese guinea pig veterinarians couldn’t do what he has done! Since I can’t meet him in person, I can only use words to describe my feelings!

what is her actual weight now?
Yes she needs to be weighed every day

If her weight stays the same the next day then it means you’ve fed her enough that day to maintain her - it does not mean everything is ok and it does not mean you can stop feeding her.

She needs to be fed for as long as it takes for her to start eating enough hay for herself. How long that is depends on what is wrong with her - some people have to syringe feed for many weeks.

She will need 60ml over a day. So if she takes 10ml per feeding then your mother will need to do 6 feedings per day. If she takes less per feeding then she will need more than six feedings per day.

You also need to encourage her to keep eating hay for herself.
Yesterday she was 887, today she is 886. Last night my mother said that after she was given intensive care, her stool was very watery, but it was hard and normal, not diarrhoea. It just felt like there was water mixed in with the stool. I would like to ask if this is a problem with the ratio of intensive care to water? Later, my mother felt she was still hungry and hadn't eaten enough, so she gave her another 5 grams of guinea pig food before bedtime, and she ate it all. Could you please help me determine if we need to adjust the feeding amount? 😊 Thank you.

Her weight is stable so that is really good.
Continue with the critical care as is.

Remember that hay is the most important part of her diet so it needs to be in the cage at all times for her to eat whenever she wants to
She should only have one tablespoon of the guinea pig food per day. Once she had had that amount in a day she should not be given any more that day. A piggy will need to fill up on hay.

As long as the critical care is made so that is just thin enough to go through the syringe then it’ll be fine: you don’t want it to be made too watery

I am so happy to hear from you! I also have some good news to share with you. I have contacted a merchant authorised by Burgess in the UK who sells Burgess products on Chinese online shopping platforms. I will verify this merchant on Burgess's official website shortly, so I can purchase hay for my child on a long-term basis. Since this brand is also from the UK, you must be familiar with their Timothy hay. I know that Timothy hay is divided into first-cut and second-cut varieties, so I would like to ask you if you have any recommendations for high-quality Timothy hay from Burgess. If you do, please send me the full name so I can purchase it for her, as she is very picky.

Any hay from burgess is absolutely fine. I don’t use it though so I can’t personally recommend any which will be likely to be favourites but as I say, any would be fine

Please check whether the amount of feed your mother is giving the guinea pig is appropriate.Because my mother cares so much about her children, she is afraid that something might go wrong. She specifically asked me to send you a photo for confirmation.

That certainly looks to be around a tablespoon -
So yes it is a good amount: she can have that once per day

Dear family, today the child's weight is 888. Mom said that now she hides whenever she sees the intensive care unit, it seems she has grown tired of it. Should we stop giving her food now? Additionally, Mom is still concerned that she may be deficient in vitamin C, which could be causing a series of illnesses. She asked me to send you a photo to ensure that the amount is sufficient to supplement her vitamin C intake. I came across an article last night: Guinea Pigs need Vitamin C
I also recall you previously cautioning me that if we had been over-supplementing her with vitamin C and then suddenly stopped, she might develop sepsis. What are your thoughts on this matter?

You only stop feeding once she is Eating enough hay and maintaining her weight herself. If you believe she is doing that then you ease off with the feeding but you still need to weigh her daily to monitor. If her weight stays the same every day then she is eating enough. If loses weight, then you have to syringe feed her again

She can have a bigger piece of pepper. Pepper is a good source of vitamin c. Please refer to the sample plate in this guide for a picture of the amounts of veg a piggy can eat each day.

She will not develop sepsis. A piggy lacking in vitamin c can develop scurvy.
The signs of scurvy are lethargy, rough looking coat, inability to walk, not eating and weight loss.

If she is eating veg and pellets and being given critical care food (all of which contain vitamin c) then it is unlikely she is deficient in vitamin c.

If you think she has got scurvy and is displaying all the symptoms of it then she will become rather unwell. You would need to see the vet and she would need to be put on a short term course of supplementary vitamin c.
You must not do this without consulting a vet though as, as I explained, over supplementing vit c unnecessarily can be detrimental.

Looks good it is a tablespoon amount each day such good news about Burgess 💐

You mix as much water in as necessary to make it so that it will go through the syringe.

You need to make up the mixture and then feed 60ml of it made up per day.

Only make up as much as you need per feed.
Your piggy may take up to 20ml per feed, she may only take 10ml per feed. You just need to adjust accordingly
I'm about to break down. This is a photo my mother just sent me. It looks like blood. Oh my God, I'm going crazy. I can't take it anymore.

Count backwards from ten slowly you are not going to break down you need to focus otherwise you can't help anyone 💐

Count backwards from ten slowly you are not going to break down you need to focus otherwise you can't help anyone 💐
It's truly fortunate to have you by my side during this terrible time, giving me strength. However, my current life and mood are like a roller coaster ride every minute of every day, and I really feel like I'm about to break down. I ask everyone for help every day. I know this is already very impolite of me, and I even know that my daily questions and requests for help are disturbing everyone. Despite this, I also spend a lot of time every day browsing through various information. My mother also frequently asks me some very confusing questions. I’m already very confused as it is, but now I’m trying to control myself every day, forcing myself to stay in control, because I feel like I’m completely useless right now. All I can do is choose the right brand of grass, guinea pig food, and carefully select the most suitable options for her based on the ingredients. However, I realise this is only one aspect of the issue. What truly exhausts me is spending six hours a day video chatting with my mother to resolve her concerns. Due to her age, she asks me the same questions countless times, and she doesn’t remember much of what I say. My husband, besides financially supporting me, also has to remind me to go to bed every night because I don’t have enough time for everything, and he’s worried I might suddenly collapse! But physically, I don’t feel unwell; it’s more about not being able to be by her side in person, facing my mother’s concerns, and my husband’s reminders. But I’ll keep going because I truly feel your support and everyone’s behind me!

Is this the only patch your mum has found?
Dear, I guess what you're asking is whether this is the only unusual thing my mother has noticed! Currently, my mother only has this piece of evidence, but she did tell me that she felt unwell yesterday, shivering a bit, and wondered if she was in pain again! I didn’t answer my mother’s question; I just told her to observe her urine. If she can obtain fresh urine, she should contact me immediately, because I believe discussing her “yesterday” thoughts and judgments with me at this moment is a waste of time and energy!

I just asked my mother to carefully read this using translation software, even though I've said it many times before. Long Term Balanced General And Special Needs Guinea Pig Diets
But the only thing worth celebrating is that she actually did read it just now and proactively sent me a message asking if I was giving her too much guinea pig food, more than she eats hay, and now she doesn't even like eating hay powder anymore. In fact, I've known all along that her condition is closely related to her diet, and I also know that the owner needs to take the time to learn a lot of things about it, because this urinary tract infection can easily recur if not handled properly. I’ve said this many times before: fresh vegetables, water, and proper hay storage. I can only say that if I were physically present with the guinea pig, I couldn’t guarantee 100% but I’m confident that at least 85% of the time, she wouldn’t relapse!

Please do not think your questions are disturbing anyone we are all here for you and never mind at all so please try to stop that idea 💕
It must be emotionally exhausting for you and I understand that it is difficult but you must look after yourself and go to bed to rest when your husband thinks you look tired otherwise if you do 'breakdown' you can't help anyone 💐

I am going to repeat a question that I'm sure has been asked so I apologise but why is it you and your husband are not with your guinea and your mum? I'm not judging just asking 🙏

You don't need to apologise. I am more than happy to answer your questions and enjoy doing so. I am willing to openly share my personal life and experiences with you and everyone else.
My mother and I are both Chinese citizens, and we are from Beijing. Our home is in Beijing, hehe. However, my husband came to Vancouver with his mother when he was very young and became a Canadian citizen. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) two years ago, so we planned for my husband to bring her to China for treatment. My husband was concerned that I might feel lonely during the days he was away, so he bought me this guinea pig to keep me company. Later, despite our careful care in China, her condition continued to deteriorate. Ultimately, she wished to return to Vancouver, as it was her home. We accompanied and cared for her as she returned to Vancouver, where her condition continued to worsen. She was incredibly brave and chose the time of her passing herself! That is how it happened. My life changed abruptly, and I had to accompany my husband here to live!

Bless you it must be extremely difficult 🙏
Thank you. I would like to bring it with me from China, provided that it can stay with me in the cabin, but I haven't been able to find any relevant information yet. I've only found information about bringing cats and dogs, but nothing about guinea pigs. If anyone has any relevant information, please share it with me! Thank you all ❤️

What is wrong with her? Last time I said she was going to throw up, it was the same action.

Like the last time you added video, it is not playing. It’s just a still image
