You will need to give him water and food through a syringe, to make the food mushy add a bit of hot water to the pellets. Giving him water might sound weird but you need to make sure that he keeps hydrated.

You will need to stay up with him all night.

Wrap him up in a towel and hold him on your lap so that he feels safe and warm.

Not sure abouts you are but one of the members on here runs a help line based in the UK you can find more info here: http://www.guineapighelpline.com/

In regards to hand feeding, also from Guinea Lynx, :
Quantity - How much does your pig need?

Your vet can advise you regarding the amount of food to provide. Harkness and Wagner note that in one day, adult guinea pigs eat approximately:
dot 6 grams dry feed/100 grams of body weight
dot 10 to 40 ml water per 100 grams of body weight ( will vary with temperature, humidity, etc.)

Weigh your pig to estimate dietary needs. A 1 kilo pig (2.2 pounds) might require 60 grams (2 1/10 oz.) dry food and 100 ml (6 2/3 Tablespoons) of water. Keep in mind many pigs have lost weight before the anorexia is noticed. If you have difficulty determining how much food your pet is consuming, weigh him/her before and after feeding. Caging an ill animal separately (but near companions if not infectious) will allow you to measure what your pig can consume on its own.
A list of techniques can also be found there too.

How are things this morning?

If I am honest he sounds critical, I am hoping he survived the night as the odds are in my opinion, stacked up against him.

There are two possible factors here:

1) Letting him run outside, as well as giving him a bath, on the same day. The issue here is the temperature fluctuation, IMO guineas should not be outdoors at this time of year especially in a run anyway, but if he went in the run after his bath, I would strongly suspect this contributed to his condition.

2) The diarrhoea may be down to the new foods he ate, the broccoli and banana, however I would not expect it to lead to liquid diarrhoea, so there may well be an underlying issue.

At first: You don't bath piggies just to get them clean. They don't need it! Only if ordered by a vet.
If the fur is sticky or matted just clip it. It will grow again.

You should only give him a very little piece of broccoli if you are feeding it for the first time.

If he doesn't want wather then you should give it to him over a syringe but without the needle. 1-2 milliliter should be okay for one portion. I think you will get Bird Bene Bac against the diarrhoea. If it's possible then you can ask your vet if he could give him vitamin B12. It's good for the circulatory.

I hope that he is feeling better. If you have futher questions just ask.

I personally wouldn't have bathed a guinea pig so young unless it was due to medical issues

Hi,

did he get cold after his bath? not sure where you are from so not sure what your temperatures are like where you are?

Hope he pulls through okay until you can get to the vet:(

keep him in a warm room and take the above advise about feeding, good luckxxx

Hi, I am sorry that Oscar is so unwell :( May be giving him a bath and then letting him have a run outside wasn't the best idea but we will never know if that is the reason. Could there have been something poisoners in your garden that he could have eaten?

I do hope that Oscar will be ok and please do update when you can.

Please do not think that we are having a go at you, we just want to help :) x
