PLEASE HELP ME, when I left today I came back to find my guinea pigs had eaten some foam with stickers on it! These were their name tags and they were secured with strong clips, I have a feeling that one of my young cousins knocked it in while they were trying to mess with the pigs, both are eating and pooping but I’m so worried about this, all vets are closed today, what should I look out for I’m making sure to give them extra hay to keep their guts moving but ahhh I’m so worried WHAT DO I DOOOO!?!?
This is around the same size of foam they ate |

I truly have no idea. I would say the same, definitely plenty of hay and water and hopefully it will be able to get through their system! Good to know they are still eating and pooping.

not sure, but I think it'll probably just end up in there poop. Hopefully it doesn't clog anything.

My Answer would be to keep up on hay and water. If you notice them straining or acting unhappy then I would worry

I would keep giving them water and hay and hope for the best.
Sending lots of prayers 🙏

Thank you everybody, my main concern is that there will be blockage is there anyway to help to decrease the changes of that happening😖😔

My dog has eaten foam before and one of our neighbors who is a vet came over and said to just watch her breathing and if they can't breath it's a problem but other than that it should just digest and she was a yorki so she was a small animal. I would say the same but I'm not a expert. I hope your pig will be ok

It shouldn’t be a problem, just keep an eye on her for any change in behaviour. If she’s a bit lethargic then pop to the vets for a check but it should be fine. Is she eating and pooing as normal? As long as she’s happy and eating she’ll likely just pass it as normal :)

Hi!

Please keep an eye on your piggy for the next 24 hours. In most cases, it doesn't cause any problems but see a vet asap as an amergency if your piggy is suddenly looking off and not eating.

Okay thank you, I’m thinking this incident happened around 3/4/5 before I got home at six it is now the next morning and there it poop in the cage💩 and they are eating and drinking, I’m going to keep a very close eye on them for any other problems🙏🏽

Hello everybody it’s been a little over a week and there is still poop! Does this mean that there really shouldn't be any blockage?

if there is a real problem, then you see it usually within a day or two.
