So I just saw this bald spot on my guinea pigs face what do I do? His hair is moved out of the way in the picture but is this just skin or a problem he does scratch sometimes

Take your piggy to the vet as soon as you can. There is a vet locator at the top of the page. Make sure it is a cavy savvy vet (used to seeing guinea pigs) if not using vet locator. It could be anything from a fungal infection to mites.

I just put some mite treatment on the spot my vet is closed till Monday will he be ok

Please do not treat anything on spec without a diagnosis.
This will wait until your vets reopens on Monday. But in the meantime please do not put any treatment on in the meantime.

If you treat your piggie on spec it may mask the real problem so your vet will have difficulty with a proper diagnosis. It may not be mites only a vet can diagnose what it is. Make an appointment with your vet on Monday.
