Hi everyone,

There's been another development in Biscuit's health. As many of you know, Biscuit's had health issues ever since we've had him. He's been suffering from another URI recently and just finished a 10-day course of Marbocyl with no response.

We've just come back from the vet's and his breathing is actually slightly worse. The vet couldn't hear his heart sounds over the wheezing! He's going back in tomorrow morning for an X-ray and maybe some other tests if necessary. He may well have a heart problem but I'm still hopeful it will turn out to be bacterial...

On top of that, he's chewing on one side of his mouth much less than the other so his left teeth are too long. He's going to be under GA for about 20 minutes tomorrow which is quite long!

Any way, he could really do with some positive vibes for tomorrow...

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for all your wishes and vibes. There is good news and bad news.

The good news is that Biscuit heart is a good size and shape and is beating well and strongly.

The bad news is that Biscuit has pneumonia. The vet has sent away some culture samples to find out the bacterial root of the infection and he is on two anti-biotics at the moment for the next ten days. He is stable but critical at the moment but is home with us for now.

I will let you all know if anything changes.

Awww so sorry to see Biscuit unwell again, MASSIVE vibes being sent from us, wishing you all a happy christmas x
 
Thanks everyone and merry Cristmas to you all,

We'll be away over Christmas at my mum's so I won't be logging on until the 27th/28th. Biscuit and Caramel are coming with us.

At the moment, Biscuit is eating normally and seems fairly comfortable and happy. He's a little fighter so I'm still positive.

Best wishes to you all and all your piggies this Christmas and my thoughts with everyone who has lost a piggy this year, they're all dearly missed.

O I really hope biscuit recovers...everything crossed for you.

Sadly my piggie didn't survive pneumonia back in August however there was question over whether he had heart problems. and he went without treatment for months due to an awful vet.

I really hope you have a happy outcome :)
