If anyone hears or comes across a single male in rescue, preferably at least 3 years of age, could they please bear me in mind?
I will now be looking for a friend for Tyler (who is 5 this month) after losing Wilbur at the weekend and he doesn't like boisterous babies hence the age preference and I know they're harder to find so thought I'd put myself out there with a thread.

I'm in the midlands but will travel a bit either way.

Just thought I'd pop this here as there's more activity here! ;)
 
Thank you, it was a shock despite him slowing down I thought we'd be looking at about a month.

I've put some feelers out too, fingers crossed x
 
Have you tried Walsall RSPCA? I think they have single boars in at the moment x
 
No Walsall don't usually do boar bonding. They will occasionally do a baby to an older adult I think but only very occasionally. Their older boars are all routinely neutered and looking for homes with one or more sows. I'm not sure how they would feel if you offered to bond yourself at home....

I don't think The Potteries has any at the moment, mostly pairs not singles but I can check...
 
Yeah this is the thing, I can bond and know what I'm looking for but if it doesn't work I have no room to up my numbers...
 
Have you tried Honeybunnies in Leicester? I'm not sure if Jill has any single boars but I know she's currently got a lot of piggies waiting for homes

I have, I'm waiting on a message back to see if Tyler can go over, she has some around 2 and more with unknown ages so that's my first port of call as its the nearest then we'll work from there I guess :)

We are getting some older boars in soon, have quite a few people interested but it all depends on whether the boar dates work! If you are interested please message me and l can give you my number
 
hey there is this website called pets4homes. they have all pets and you can get them for adoption near you xx you need put your house code and then search and you will find people that live close to you that has guinea pigs ill give you the link if you want it? x

Thank you, I have seen it in the past, I prefer to take my piggies to a rescue to have a proper bonding appointment overseen by someone who knows their stuff, If I bought a single one from elsewhere and they didn't get along I'm not in a position to then find that pig a friend and up my numbers you see :)

yeah i see xx i was desperate after pets at home said no so i was quite lucky x

Good luck to Tyler on his big date :) Hopefully he will find a buddy he likes. I can also recommend BARC. We've dated with them too and at Milhaven.

The right pig is out there somewhere you just gotta find him....
 
I thought RSPCA Walsall did bonding? Sorry about your loss, I Hope you find him a buddy!
