Aaahhhh! I'd forgotten how much of a nuisance the boys are when they have floor time inside! mallethead

The wonderful summer meant from June they only had to be indoors for their run around 2 times. No poo sweeping, wee mopping, kitchen roll defending, less laundry, no being ambushed for treats, no tantrums when they're fed up and want to come in...

During the summer we also seriously renovated the conservatory (their indoors run around space). This caused Mr Cash much distress when he found we had done so without his approval or consultation. Angry inspection of the perimeter, displeased squeaks at the new piggy storage system (which is incidentally my new best friend: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9350043.htm all of the piggy accoutrements stacked away neat and tidy! :<>). He did however take a liking to the new vertical blinds...

Before putting them out Daddypig had insistently warned me to keep an eye on them with the blinds. Cue me, 'Yes of course, they'll be fine, they won't eat them, I'll watch..." etc etc. So sat for a few minutes before I cleaned their cage up and checked there was no interest, nothing more than a cursory glance was spared. 'Excellent', I thought and began cleaning the cage. Pulled out the bottom drawer of the storage system, turn my back for a few moments and Tango has decided to climb in behind the drawer and pee everywhere. Spend 5mins shooing him out and cleaning up, during which time Cash wanted to explore this fun new cave as well. Get back to cleaning and all is quiet in pig world. ...too quiet? Then I detect a faint munching sound. Turn round to find Cash with half of the connecting stringy-ball bits that go between the blinds hanging out of his mouth looking at me with a "Whaaaat?" expression.

I dash over panicking hes swallowed half of it and have to forcibly tug it off him. See hes only just managed to chew through the string part and then give him a telling off whilst he tries desperately to begin chewing on another section! Thankfully the part he got to is right near the end of the row so its not very noticeable and we've managed to stop them doing it since. But oh my word. So stressful! And after all that he started trying to lick some suds that had spilt on the floor from where I was cleaning the cage malletheadmalletheadmalletheadmallethead

Can't live with them, can't live without them!

ha ha! They lull you into a false sense of security don't they? They ignore what you think they are going to want to eat till your back is turned then its chomp chomp chomp....

Mr Cash sounds a little menance :)) So cute though

Here's the little culprit. Butter wouldn't melt.

haha - thanks for sharing! I do not usually think of my guinea pigs as destructive because when something is damaged or destroyed, the border collie is usually responsible. But then EQ chewed a hole in the curtains that I did not realize could be reached from their habitat. Now I know. (And I had been totally willing to give the benefit of doubt. I thought there might have been a moth!)

Oh my what a story haha. I love it when they give that 'whaaat' look when they have been caught. Just two days ago I caught Gilbert pulling the flooring through the bars of the cage chewing on it. I caught him and he stopped with it in his mouth staring almighty guilty at me.

I must say though, Cash, what a beautiful boy! I'll take him if you ever get fed up with his tactics. :))

Oh yes, the 3 little piggies and 2 big buns are out on the grass eating for England! :)) which allowed daddy bear to shampoo the carpets. ;)

Its summer TODAY :))

And I was stuck inside at the Harry Potter studio tour with Daddypig for his birthday! damn it! Hopefully will get them out today when I get home from work.

Cashman may be naughty. But he's mine! Alll miiiinnnneeeee! ;)
