Adult Guinea Pig
i am writing this last thread just to inform everyone who showed their support to me about the piggies i ''rescued'' from a crap life. this is the link to my original thread:

i have settled the 4 piggies in. they are in quarantine in my daughters room - not even in the same building as my own piggies and have been there ever since i came home with them. i will be keeping everyone of them even the unborn babies. i have the space and the money to do so, also i am raising funds to help with any others that need help in the future. i have a fantastic contact at a rescue not that far from me who will give me all the advice i need and some of the funds i raise will be going there too in a way of a thankyou for helping me. anyway just to let you all know that they were all underweight - the 2 babies are 6 weeks old and only weighed 183g and 224g. there is a male and female so the male baby is now living very happily with the older boar. hopefully the female baby is not pregnant but to be honest she is already getting plumper so only time will tell now. they are all putting weight on straight away. the pregnant sow who is obviously in a back to back pregnancy is in such a poor state. she is so underweight that you can actually see her spine and her shoulder blades even through all her fur. you can feel her ribs too. she has terrible feet - she has bumble foot on them and her two back feet are in an horrendous condition. the photo below shows her feet today and they have actually healed quite a lot since tuesday when i got her. http://
she is such a gentle girl and has even let me open her mouth to check her teeth etc. she just seems to know that she is safe now.
i would just like to add that i am not happy that i had to pay for the pregnant sow (he gave me the others) but i am not ashamed of the fact that i did this either as in my eyes i did not buy her, i saved her from a life of hell - to be honest she would more than likely have died before long anyway. if anyone thinks i am wrong for doing this , then i'm sure you would change your views if you saw the state that she is in. i DID rescue her from a slow painful death and if paying to get her out of that hell hole is 'wrong' then tough. i did what needed to be done and i stand with my head held high for doing so. i do not appreciate PM's off other members patronising me for what i do. a life is a life whether i had to buy her or not - she is safe now with the best vets care, the best love and attention and at last she has food. for the people who supported me with my decision, i am eternally grateful to you- the ones that don't support what i did know who they are and believe me i do not want anymore 'advice' whatsoever from you. i will still be around but i will be out of the way. if anyone who has got to know me wants to contact me please feel free to do so. oh and i forgot to say that these people where i got them from who are selling every breed of animal they possible can, won't be doing so for much longer. things are being sorted
