'Whisper's spay is tomorrow morning and I am dreading it. I know its for her benefit to take away the cyst but I have lost a few piggies to the rainbow bridge following surgery but at least she is eating well so I feel that is a bonus. Her 2 companions are going with her so she will be with familiar faces when she wakes up. Am I being a drama queen?
Will update you all tomorrow

It is always an anxious time. Please keep reminding yourself that you are doing it to buy her more of a happy and healthy lifetime which she currently doesn't have.

You can find some helpful practical tips for the anxious wait in this link here:

I know how you feel. It's a terrible feeling, but think it's the best thing for her.

On the day of my female dog's spay, I was extremely anxious. When I handed her over to the anesthetist, she stared straight into my eyes as he carried her away with the surgeon vet.
But in the end, everything worked out, and today she is happy and healthy!

You are doing good for her, it is normal to feel anxious and apprehensive with someone we love, everything will be fine! Sending you lots of waves of positive energy for you and little Whisper 🥰

On no. Sending massive hugs. 😢

I’ve had a piggy pass after bladder stone surgery. I was so sad. But there’s not any other option unfortunately. You have to try the surgery. I’m so sorry.

Another update which blindsided me. The vet has just called to say they noticed signs of life and gave cpr after they had called me. She has semi-come round
and is being monitored but may not make it/may be brain damaged/may need to be pts after another conversation! She must have a will to live. My heart is pounding

I’m so sorry to read this dear Whisper
Look after yourself after such a time
Popcorn free lovely Whisper at RB reunited with all your piggy friends

I’m so sorry, this sounds like such a trauma for you, to have that thought of a second chance as well, my heart aches for you.

Sleep well dear Whisper. You gave her the best life and the best care ever, and she will have known she was loved, but I know that doesn’t take away the pain right now. Take care.

Oh goodness how very sad 😢
I so so sorry I can't imagine what a roller coaster you've been on today.
You made the best decision for her to have the op to improve her quality of life, and it was done with love. Whisper will know that 💕

RIP Whisper, over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈❤️

BIG HUGS

I am so, so sorry for your loss and for the traumatic way it has happened.

Thank you all for your support I am not in a good place but thought I would just add that I placed Whisper in the home she shared with Daphne and Russell and got 2 different reactions from them. Russell (who she had a close bond with) licker her face and nudged her head but Daphne was scared to go near her but I will give them some treats later and tell them all that I love them . I am taking my beautiful Whisper to the pet cremation centre in the morning :( :(

I am so sorry for your loss 😥 What a roller coaster of emotions. I know it may not bring much comfort to you, but atleast she is not in pain anymore. Sending you hugs 🫂

It's so sad 😔 Lots of love to our Chunky Russell and Daphne, at least they have each other.
Many times when we've had piggies pass away and let their friends see, they've been frightened or upset. It's very sad to see but give them plenty of cuddles, love and treats and they soon come round.
Sidney was the same when we lost his best friend Tweed recently 😔

I am so sorry you lost Whisper, it's so sad. What a dreadfully traumatic day you have had, I can't begin to imagine how you feel.

I am so sorry that you lost Whisper.
It’s hard enough losing a piggy during surgery but then being given foppe which couldn’t be sustained is traumatic.
Holding you in my heart ♥️
Wish I could be there to give you a hug 🤗
