Please Send Healing Vibes For Max

My beautiful boar Max is currently at the vets having surgery for a bladder stone ..

I am really worried about him. This is the 2nd bladder stone he has had .

Please send healing vibes.

It's not good news afraid . The vet couldn't remove the stone as it is embedded in an area of the bladder known as the trigone. The news hasn't sunk in fully yet . I'll be picking Max up this evening and will speak to the vet in more detail then - if I can manage to get any words out between the tears.

I'll be asking lots of questions from all of you as I know you are the best people to help me & Max.
 
So sorry to hear this. My friend had a similar experience with her piggy and she was able to manage her with painkillers until the pain got too severe. I think @lauraboara had a piggy with the same problem as well?

So sorry to hear that the stone was stuck. pig in the city is right and i went through similar with one of my boys - managed his condition medically for a few months before losing him. PM me if you want more info when you are ready. Rooting for Max.
 
Thank you everyone for your kind comments . I have a post op piggy on my hands tonight which is never a pleasant experience in itself . I just hope Max recovers from this op quickly so he can go back in with his 2 wifepigs as soon as possible.

I will message you @lauraboara - probably in a few days.
 
Sad news. Poor Max never started eating after his operation . He took very little when I syringe fed him so he was admitted as an inpatient last night. The nurses were making some progress with giving him food and fluids overnight so, we were hopeful this morning that he had turned the corner.

Unfortunately , Max passed away this morning .

I would like to thank everyone for the support you have given me through this difficult time .

I'm afraid a few of us have had bad news recently . I am aware you have lost a hamster recently Helen & @madguinealady has lost some of her pets too.

I am sorry for everyone's loss.

Bess and Sparkle are very bemused at the moment . I will always have fond memories of Max - but am intending to find them another male companion as soon as I can.
