My six year old pirate pig is struggling with massive swallowing problems since Sunday evening and has deteriorated very quickly. Because of his problem, it is ever so difficult and time consuming to get any oral meds, food and drink into him, either by eating or hand feeding. The next day or two will be crucial. If Bryn doesn't improve, I will sadly have to let him go. :0

Sorry for not being around, but between looking after Bryn and being ill myself for the last couple of days, it's not been a good time here.

And there are still two dozen very smelly piggies waiting to be cleaned out as soon as I can... mallethead

Sadly, Bryn stopped being able to swallow at all over the course of the night and I had to let him go this morning.

I am very gutted at losing such a great pigsonality; it never gets any easier!

I'm so sorry for your loss, it doesn't ever get any easier but at least you know he had an amazing life with you and he wanted for nothing x
 
So sorry for your loss. That is absolutely the hardest part of being a cavy slave. You did everything you could and gave him the best of chances

I'm really sorry you've lost him. I know he was in the best possible hands with you & my thoughts are with you at this sad time. R.I.P. Bryn Oscar. xx
 
We are also very sorry to hear about the loss of your pirate piggy Bryn. It is so gutting when you have to make the decision to let him go to the bridge. Although he is now munching on green spaghetti over the bridge he has undoubtedly left an indelible mark upon your heart with such fond memories of the big character that he was.
