Hi Everyone,
I'm pleased to announce that I am the newly adopted mum to two beautiful becklen sows - formerly bubble and 3 mth old himie. They really are a pair of gorgeous piggys. They are resting quiety after their long journey - although there was great deal of interest in the dish of tasty veg i just took them :) I think they were a bit shy of eating in front of me though, so I've left them for now and will check on their progress later. Will take some photos as soon as they are settled.
Many thanks to Becky and Jane for making this possible :)

Wonderful news, I'm really happy for you, and your new babies of course.

My mum and stepdad have a teaching business in Stalybridge :) I used to live with them in Mossley.

Wow that is a surprise I didn't think other people knew Stalybridge existed :)) Where are you living now?

AWWW - I can't wait to pics when they have settled in properly! You have done the right thing to leave them to get their bearings - but it is a very good sign that they have eaten straight away!

If you want more tips for settling - common sense is the best tool though!

PS: I am still so sorry that I didn't get to meet nutmeg in person when I picked my own two Becklen girls up in her place!

We live between Blackpool and Preston now, my mum, stepdad and sisters are still in Mossley though. I love that area.

Yes there is some beautiful scenery around Mossley and we live very near Stalybridge country park so surrounded by lovely scenery too - wasn't too keen on being cut off in the snow though :))

xx>>> Congratulations on the new arrivals! I hoepthey settle well for you

pleased to announce

thats great news and i cant wait to hear all about them,do they have names yet?

Our himie piggy has definately been named Willow, but bubble's name keeps changing and we haven't settled on one yet - she just keeps being called 'piggy' for now. However, I did comment that her hair is wavy and my daughter laura said ' she's a curly shirley'. When she goes in to look at her she calls 'Hi Shirley' and funnily enough she pays more attention to that than anything else we've tried lol! So maybe the name might stick, but I think we would spell it 'Shirlee' - but then again it could change before the night's out :))

We used to go to a tropical fish shop in Bolton when my son kept fish a few years ago. I can't remember what it was called, but it was quite a big place.
