Hi all, I know I haven't been on here in ages, but if anyone could give me some advice here I would appreciate it so much.

I woke up late this morning and went to feed Misty & Millie straight away. I got them both out and gave them a cuddle, and noticed Misty wasn't making any noise at all, no squeaking or purring when I stroked her. I took her inside straight away and gave her a dose of Baytril she had been prescribed a few weeks ago for a possible chest infection. I'm really concerned about the fact that she is not making any noise, as last year when Minnie had pneumonia, thats what she was like at first. Misty is still eating ok however, she ate some carrot and pepper after she had her Baytril.

We're going to get some Ribena for her today, as the vet told us to give it to Minnie becasue it contains vitamin C. Our vets is not open again till Monday, we missed the surgery this morning.

I don't know if it is pneumonia, but if it is, i cannot lose another piggie to it. Also, my grandma passed away last week, I can't lose my Misty pig aswell.

If anyone has any ideas of anything we could do for Misty until Monday when we can get her to the vet, please let me know x

No she's not hunched up, I went out to see her just now and she's walking around the hutch a bit and when I opened the bedroom door she had a half eaten piece of carrot infront of her, so she'd obviously gone into the other part of the hutch to get food.

Is it not possible too bring her in with her friend to watch her closely. Granted if they come in they will be in till Spring.

If you think its Pneumonia, then I would take her to E-vet, as it can be deadly as you know.

They were originally in the garage over winter but we brought them outside today becasue we thought the fresh air would do them good. Do you mean bring their hutch inside the house? Also what is E-vet?

I mean bring them in, I also think it's to early for them to go out as temperatures are still very cold overnight.

E-vet is the Emergency Vet when you phone your vet there will be a number for the Emergency vet which is out of hours.

We gave her some ribena with her baytril tonight but when I went out to give them their tea, she wouldn't take any pepper from me. I also forgot to mention this morning that her sides were jumping slightly. Its Minnie all over again, the refusing to eat, jumping sides and overall just not being herself.

Our vets doesn't have an emergency number, does anyone know of any good guinea pig vets close by to York that will be able to help tomorrow? Although I'm terrified she won't be with us tomorrow 8...

Please please help, I'm actually crying my eyes out now :...
