I'm sorry if anyone is due for their teas, but when checking over my piggles this morning, I picked up my eldest pig Muffin (8). She was happy enough wriggling and roaming around, but I noticed she had soft, what seemed watery poo's. I thought this may be from the recent fruit and veg, maybe upsetting her stomach, but when coming home from work and saying hello to her, when she moved, she seemed to have left this...

Anyone have any ideas? I've just had a delivery of bio-lapis and wondered if this would be necessary to give her. She is eating as normal on both her normal food and hay and seems happy enough. Just with the recent passing of Tetley, I don't want to take any chances.
xx

Please take her off any fresh food until at least 24 hours (ideally 48 hours) after her poos have firmed up again. You can give bio-lapsis. Please be careful when re-introducing veg again and do so slowly in small quantities.

If the poos are not firming up within 24 hours or are getting even softer, please see a vet as soon as you can.

One of mine was doing very soft poos yesterday so I immediately stopped all veg & started syringe feeding to keep her guts moving. Luckily I already had some Emeprid & Zantac & as she was still eating hay & pellets I took her to the vets today for a check & luckily she does not have full blown bloat. Her poops are normal now but I will continue to syringe feed & not give her any veg for the next couple of days. If you can, I would syringe feed her some softened pellets or some Critical Care tonight to help firm up her poops.

Thank you both, I gave Muffin some bio-lapsis from a bottle (poppy wasn't happy that she wasn't getting any and was pulling it away from her!) and she was still eating her pellets and hay as normal. I've checked her again this morning and her poo's have firmed up. I will give her some critical care tonight and hopefully things should be back to normal.
