Mu aunt had this done via gastric route as she was so obsessed with her weight/food healthy eating she diminished all the healthy bacteria in her gut. She was very poorly and after this was back to normal. They used her daughters...... it is pretty crazy ha.

Did see this on one of our current affairs programs. Aussie doctors are not only doing poo transplants but also direct introduction of certain gut worms through skin patches. It has to be stressed this is only for specific types of problems where the bad parasite cannot be eradicated in any other way. Nevertheless, watching this made me wonder whether I'd ever have the nerve to go through with something like that. I always make sure I take a pro-biotic after I've done a course of anti-biotics. But this is not always good enough depending on what parasite has overwhelmed your gut.
