Hi everyone. So I've had my Guinea pig about a year now and he has an issue with getting poo stuck to one toe on his back foot. I'm wondering if anyone has advice on how to clean him. Right now I'm soaking his feet in warm water and using a baby toothbrush to gently rub it away. I should add that he actually has an extra toe on his back feet, and that's the problem one. I'm afraid to scrub it, even gently, using cotton or anything that would have me pulling on it, as the toe is seemingly just attached by skin. I dont want to accidentally hurt him.

Hello, I would reccomend keeping his nails well trimmed, if this doesn’t do the trick, if you are able I would reccomend seeing a vet about getting that extra problem toe removed. As this is an extra toe, I'm sure his mobility won’t be affected much if it is removed.

Don’t worry about her extra toe, these things happen in nature.

As for the loss feet issue. We had todo exactly the same we a piggy we had who kept doing the same a gentle soak of the feet in warm water got the poo off. You can use the smallest amount of water that way and not get piggy wet
