Putt is on septrim for what might be a UTI and our vet has advised us to make a pooh soup instead of probiotics as she says this is better than the manufactured probiotics.

So we are looking forward to harvesting cookie and treacle poohs tonight but what do we actually do to make the soup?

Mush up some fresh poos with a bit of water and syringe or spoon feed that.

what consistency should the delightful brew have?

Whatever works best for you!

Fairly fluid for syringing. However, sucking it up with your syringe can be quite difficult; you may want to cut the top of. If you are spooning it, the consistency needs to be more like a puree, ideally.

Have fun! rolleyes

1/2 to a whole fresh poo from a healthy pig per dose drool

And lets face it, theres no difficulty in getting fresh poo from a piggy
