Poop after Spay

Hello,
My 4 year old guinea pig was spayed on Monday due to ovarian cysts. She has been recovering wonderfully, as she is eating on her own, gaining weight, and acting like herself. My only concern is that on Friday and today (Saturday), I found 1-2 spots where there was white/cream colored stuff on some of her poop. It is in spots where she would spend a lot of time (inside her house and in the corner by the hay). I just want to make sure it is just calcium or something else normal, rather than sludge of some sort.

For reference, she is on Metacam and Baytril post op.

I would also like to add— she has a follow up with the vet tomorrow (Monday) to check her spay incision. I will definitely bring this up to the vet regardless, I just want to know if there is anything I can do in the meantime/what to expect.

Her poop was perfectly normal Monday-Thursday, with a few looking a bit softer Friday-Saturday (as shown in the photo). The white/cream colored stuff has only been found on softer poops, if that means anything. She has since started Benebac. Thanks!

Hello It is great the she is recovering well and eating and gaining weight.

To be honest, I wouldn’t worry about the poo. It looks like it could just be some calcium or a bit of mucous which can happen when having baytril or the operation drugs? That could also be the reason for the softer poos.

By all means bring it up with your vet but I wouldn’t worry at this stage. The poos in your photo look healthy.

It is great that your piggy is recovering well after her op.

Please don't worry about a one-off calcium pee on top of your poos.
They are the natural way of the body of getting rid of excess calcium and are only a concern if they happen on a near daily/very frequent basis (the diet is either too low or too high in calcium) or if the powder is gritty (indicates crystals in the urine).

The poops themselves are a very good shape, size and colour and show that all is well with the digestive process and the amount of food intake - just another confirmation of a good recovery.
