hi,
I done a thread a week or so ago regarding my Guinea Pig poops. They were just smaller than usual, but I was reassured that as they were still formed it was ok.
However today I have went into their shed, and saw a few poops that are greenish in colour and have a tail on them, and look softer than usual.
There diet yesterday consisted of their nuggets, hay, red pepper, cucumber, carrots, ice gem lettuce.

Should I be taking pigs to the vets? They seem fine in themselves.

Thanks

Please take your piggies off any fresh food for the time being and only introduce it gradually until after the poos have normalised for at least 24-48 hours. See a vet if that doesn't do the trick. It sounds like a mild tummy upset, but especially as it persists, you may want to have it investigated.

I would avoid Iceberg lettuce (not directly that’s what you mean by ice gem) as it’s got a really high water content and won’t help with runny pops in the future; you could try romaine or little gem instead!
(If it’s little gem you’re using them just ignore me ha )

HAha thanks I did mean little gem! They love it!
I won’t give any veg to them today and see if that makes any difference. How long do you think I should leave it? It’s annoying because there are some normal ones and some odd looking ones! @Wiebke
