When I rehomed my guineas, they were on mueslie, they had very dry pale poop which was easy to clean from the cage, it didnt smell .

I changed them on to nuggets, but have noticed that their poop which once was dry, is now firm, but moist, and shiny at first when they poop on me :( .... and it doesnt half pong !

Its deffo not dioreahha and I wouldnt call it soft, just errrrm moist, if that makes sense, if I break a poop in half, its not squidgy , ... I'm just wondering if poop should be like this on a healthy guinea, because its very different from when I first got them .

They are eating hay as quick as I can replace it, and eat their veg each day, and drink ok .

Sounds like their poo's perfectly normal now if it's moist but firm. Are you giving them a lot of brocolli or cabbage as that would explain their poos being a bit pongy?

Yes, one of my piggies is mad on spring greens and broccolli, the other likes carrots, but he doesnt seem to poop on me as much :(|)

Jackson fell asleep on me this morning, ok, it was only for about 10 seconds lol , but in comparison to how he was when I first got them, it was brill :)

They both when handled, have a munch of something nice on mine or my sons knee, then sprawl out for a while , chilling out, whilst their piggy slave cant move because she thinks its mean to !

They still are skitty when trying to get them to pick them up, but once in my arms, they seem to love a good fuss .

Thank you for the poop talk. I have always wondered exactly what is normal. I see now that my girls poop is right up there with the best. When they were getting too many greens, double what is recommended, the poop looked good but there was this diarrhea smell about their cage. That greatly improved when I cut them back.
