I've got an adolescent pig, I'd say about 5 months old (definitely bigger than the other pigs from the store!). He's a delight, but he POOPS SO MUCH! I've kept pigs before... I used to keep two in the cage he currently lives in, and I didn't even have to clean them out as often as I have to clean out my pig Spoonie's cage! Thankfully, I've trained him to go in a pan in the corner, so cleanup isn't terrible... it's just surprising to me.

Do pigs stop pooing so much when they get older? My others lived about 4 years, so I only really remember them when they were adults... this guy is a bean machine! @)
 
Don't worry piggie's like to poo! It's what they do! Our girls are like poo machines.....

As long as he is pooing regulary and the poo's are formed and not squishy and wet then there are no problems.

Haha this is normal for piggies. They never stop pooping. It is a healthy sign. :)

I often congratulate my piggies on a good supply of poo as piggyfan said it means they're eating and healthy.
I can't tell you how happy I was to see poop after Gerry didn't go for 12 hours! :))
