Hello I am new here, unfortunately my baby Apollo is very sick he hasn't been eating the last two days, he is cold and his lips are a blue tinge.
Because of were I live the veterinaries are close at this hour and all I can do is give him lots of love and hope he will make it until tomorrow so I can take him to the vet.
I have given him water, and some food but he is in unwilling to eat.111060

You have to start syringe feeding him regularly now. Here is the link on what to do while waiting for an appointment. And here is the comprehensive link on syringe feeding. What you don’t want is the gut shutting down.

Is there no emergency (out of hours) veg at all? In UK I think if you ring OOH they can direct you to an emergency vet.

PS has he done any poo at all?

His cage is clean maybe there is one poop, the problem is I live in Uruguay, they usually close at 6:30pm

Please start pushing syringe feeding to give the pig a chance. Have you syringe fed him at all?

Have you had him at a vet the last 2 days he hasn't been eating? X

I have not, no. He has always been a quite piggy that moves here and there but not very energetic, so I didn't notice such a difference, and when I didn't see him eating I started to worry. I apologize I might suck as
A guinea pig mother.

Do you have a syringe at home with you just now that you could use to feed him?

If you do cut the end off it so the syringe doesn't narrow at the end and take off the little black rubber stopper on the plunger if it has one. You might be able to get one for babies from a pharmacy? It would probably be a 5ml syringe if they do have any.
If you don't have any critical care feed mash some pellets up in a bowl with warm water into a paste.
Syringe small amounts into the side of his mouth (so you don't shoot it down his throat and make him aspirate), watching to make sure he chews and swallow. Try give him about a quarter of a 1ml at a time but no more than half a ml incase he chokes
Try give him a few ml every hour or two just to keep his guys moving until you can get him to the vets in the morning.
Please keep me updated!

I tried to feed him, and he dranked a little bit but he has a hard time swallowing and chewing. I just can't believe all this happen so fast he was fine a couple of days ago

If you dial your vets phone number the answering machine should give you an emergency vet number to call while they are closed, have you tried that?

Here in my country the calls will keep ringing and hang up. Unfortunately he died through the night. I'm heart broken. Rip my little Angel. 😢😢

Thank you for all your help. It means alot. I'm going to go to the vet to take my other guinea pig and give it a check in, just in case.
