Had to take Clara to our local vet today, as my Dad noticed blood in the hutch when he was putting the piggies in the runs, and it was quite obvious it was from Clara.
Although we didn't find a stone, both myself and the vet think she may have/had stones. He couldn't feel any when he examined her, but she's got baytril and metacam and then she'll be reassessed in two weeks (or sooner if there's still blood after a week) and may need an X Ray and possibly even surgery. I didn't think surgery could be done for piggies with stones?
Poor little Clara was very upset, she's in a lot of discomfort
She also wasn't best pleased with having a thermometer stuck up her bum (our Dog also had one up his today and was similarly unimpressed!)
