Since Erin and Ena died, Eliza suffers from a delicate tummy where she occasionally becomes gassy with a rumbly tummy. Vet feels that the stress of her losing her 3 friends (Ellie died in January) and then Erin and Ena so close together brought it on along with her being an older lady now :(

A small amount of baby colic drops and a massage usually sorts her out. I visited my parents for the weekend however and yesterday was the worst I'd seen her and she was squeaking in pain so I had no choice but to phone the companion care vets at pets at home near my parents house who thankfully fitted me in. They were really nice actually. She was a bit better by the time her appointment came round but she was given a gut stimulant injection for mild bloat :(

Back home last night and Eliza is much better today. However, we went to my own vet this evening for piggy nail trims and my kittens injection but Eliza yanked her foot away (shes a nightmare) and the vet caught her and made her bleed :(

On the plus side, she is no longer bloated but it hasn't been a good couple of days for Eliza :(

Oh poor Eliza! They certainly know how to keep us on our toes, don't they. Glad that she's less bloated now - I hope it stays that way x

Poor little baby has been through so much. Get well soon little one.

Oh bless her little paws...hope she feels better very soon. Makes you want to wrap them up in cotton wool when they're a bit off colour :...
Hugs to you both x>>

Poor, but naughty girl! I am glad that her tummy is better again.

Poor Eliza, she has been through such a lot :( Glad her tummy is better now.

If it becomes more frequent I would recommend asking the vet for some metachlopromide to have on hand, we had to do this for Treacy as her bloaty episodes got more and more regular in occurrence. It really helped having some in and we managed to catch many episodes early before they caused too much trouble. Give her gentles strokes and cuddles from us x

Thank you. I've checked her today and her nail looks ok. I just feel awful :( although I've been told that a bleeding nail always looks worse than it is?

She is back to normal size now but I do worry about her. I wouldn't say that Eliza is my favourite as I don't do favourites but we do have a special bond x
