Sometimes I feel really sorry for Eliza :(

She has had such a tough time this last year.

Firstly she lost her best friend, Ellie last January and then shortly after in May both Erin and Ena :(

Eliza now has new friends but since losing her eye in September which has sadly resulted in her having life long problems with the area in which the eye was removed, she has gone to the bottom of the heirachy.

Eliza was always such a strong character, looking after her group and being the one piggy they could relay on.

Now she is pushed around by her friends, especially dominant neutered bour Enoch.

Of course, they don't hurt her but at the age of 6 and partly sighted, Eliza is so vulnerable and delicate :(

Aww I really feel for you here. I wonder if piggies do mind being at the bottom and if it is as bad for them as we think. I worry about that too as Mooli has pushed Sophie to the bottom. Eliza has been through such a lot and your love has helped her through it.

Oh bless her, I think we struggle more than them though when this happens. Can see why you would be worried though.

Thank you everyone.

Deep down I know she is happy but I think it is purely because Eliza was always my dominant pig but was always so laid back and loving towards her group.

Looking at her now, she is 5 ish years older than her new friends and I guess they have taken over the life that she once had.

But these things happen and if I hadn't have adopted her friends when I did, she would currently be a lone piggy which just wouldn't be fair.

Of course I love all my guinea pigs to pieces but I do have that special bond with Eliza as we have been through a lot together.

It will never be the same as it was with best friend Eleanor and Connie before she sadly died but Eliza has struck up a friendship with Erika which is nice.

It just saddens me to see her sometimes especially when Enoch is throwing his weight around (nipping and chasing her). She used to be my biggest pig and top sow and is now the smallest and bottom sow.

But like what has been mentioned, it looks far worse to us than it is to them and although she is pushed around, they do look after her especially top sow Emma who loves to power groom!

I think I am just having one of those days where I am missing my rainbow piggies xx
