i took my 3 month old guinea pig out today and noticed that one of his front feet is swollen and really dry and looks like he is nibbling i have checked him and he doesn't seem to have mites what could this be?

What bedding do you keep him on hun ?
If it's dry and clean, I would pop a bit of vaseline on for now but swelling could indicate an injury. Is he weight bearing on it ?

he has hay as bedding. ye he seems normal running around he has a thing about biting his bars i dont know if he has caught his paw on the side of the cage

I can only suggest you pop him to a vet as soon as you can - it may be a sprain but worth checking out as he could be in pain :(
A vet will prescribe Metacam probably which is a pain relief and anti inflammatory medication given by a syringe into their mouth or via a teaspoon - they will show you how to do it.
Are you UK based ?

ye I'm uk based. hes only just came off medication and now this poor thing

Still better to get him checked over, may be nothing to worry about but worth taking him.
Any swelling is there for a reason whether it is an injury or an infection so have him looked at as things can escalate if ignored.
Does he have a little friend to play with ? Piggies love company and their personalities really show up, bossy, cheeky or naughty...piggies are wonderful pets :))

i will take him to the vets tomorrow. ye he does i have a 3 year old guinea pig i bought this little one because my older one was getting lonely i did try and put them out to run together a while back but they just fought
