i took my guinea pig to the vet a couple of days because he had hair loss and scabs on his front foot the vet gave me baytril he said he properly just cut himself and he properly did because today i noticed he also cut his side of his shoulder which i think it was because of his house which i have removed and going to buy a new one tomorrow but today i had him on my lap and felt he had more scabs under his armpit is he allergic to something in his cage he has sawdust and hay as bedding?

He may well have an allergy to the shavings. I would switch to fleece or vet bed and see if it helps.

Has he got any hairloss around the scabs or anything? Is he scratching?

What do his teeth look like if you lift his lips up? Are they straight and even and meet with a clean edge?

Just letting you know that you have to wash and dry the fleece three times without fabric conditioner before you can use it. You may know that already though. :)

ye he has lost his hair on his leg he is a bit itchy but not to bad.. ye his teeth look normal
