I recently converted my piggies ferplast cage so that they can get out into their indoor run anytime they like and I got a bridge for them to make it nice and easy to get in and out, but they both refuse to use it and instead jump the side of the cage.
I think that poor Isiah must have hurt his foot on landing one time because I've noticed that he is not putting any weight on it. I checked it yesterday and it looks slightly more swollen than his other foot. I can move it about and he doesn't mind at all so I'm not worried about it being broken or anything - I actually think he may have sprained it.
Poor little boy - I hate the fact they can't tell you whats wrong.
So anyway I'm going to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse, or doesn't get any better then we're off to the vets...

Please be carful about moving it about. It could well be hurt more than you think and he's hiding it. One of mine recently broke his leg and he hasnt been noisey about it at all, they really do hide it well.
Hope he's alright.

Oh gosh - how did you find out it was broken? Did you take him to the vets or did you notice it yourself. I cant feel any break but I am a bit worried now. Will probably book him in tomorrow.

I would have it checked by a vet; it may still be a break.

Has the "bridge" some good grip? I find that taping/velcroing cheap thin door mats to a smooth surface goes a long way. You can wash them or replace them as necessary.

Our boy Sully had a sore leg ( i think our eldest put him in cage, but he jumped......he would never tell me :(.....he was probably 17 or so at the time).......anyways...........whee found out he'd broken his leg...... :(
It's always best to get it checked out love......

Oh poor baby. Have a vet look at it right away as he may need pain relief. Do not forget they will hide pain.
