I've been to the vet this morning with Max 8...
He has been losing weight gradually since christmas so I booked him in to see the vet (he's still eating etc as normal) however, last night when I gave the pigs their supper I noticed he was struggling eating (he hadn't done this before) when I looked in his mouth, he has broken his two front top teeth 8...8... I can only think that this is through biting the bars at food time?
The vet has said his teeth will be ok but I have to keep an eye on his bottom ones as they may need filing down. He also checked him over & couldn't find any obvious reason for weight loss - his back teeth are fine. He did a urine sample & said that everything was fine although there was something to suggest his kidneys may not be functioning 100% but only borderline (can't remember what this was but def wasn't protein). Poor baby, he is managing to eat & drink ok but it just takes him a bit longer & I have to help him pick things up :( He's 3 & a half xx

Common dental accident, as you say, watch and wait.
The weight loss may be of some concern, how much weight has he lost and what is his present weight?

Thanks AP. I have been weighing him every other day - some days he puts on, others he loses. When we took him ,back in Sept last year he weighed 982g. He gained weighed steadily up to christmas when he weighed almost 1200g, since then he has gradually lost each week & weighed 1007g yesterday. I know he is still an 'ok' weight & still is around what he weighed when we took him in but I am concerned. He isn't as active as he used to be either & tends to sleep a lot more - any advice/ideas would be appreciated xx
