Its about 20f degrees here. Windy and snowy blowy. I just got up at 535am for work and went into my bathroom. Holy smokes was it hot in here. Why is it so hot? This room is never hot. I opened the other bathroom door that leads to the sunroom (where the piggies live) and my back door is WIDE OPEN! Oh its hot in the bathroom bc the furnace has been running nonstop for however long.

The girls are like 20 feet on the other side of the room. It was chilly there but not freezing. They seem ok for now. Guess i have to keep an eye on them and make sure neither got sick. I was up at 230am and didnt notice anything.

Husband got home at 1030 from work last night. He thinks he may not have shut the door the whole way. He sometimes forgets to lock the door but how do you forget to shut a door to the arctic?

So now I'm on piggy watch.

So its been 12 hours and so far so good. I was a little concerned about lu bc she seemed out of it and not interested in her yogurt treat but i think that may have more to do with the kid waking her from a nap. They both are bright, alert and eating. I'm hoping the huddled under their fleece pocket. There are also 3 floor vents bt them and the door so I'm hoping that enough to keep the worst of the chill off. It was probably around 60f (15c) degrees over there. Chilly but not cold.

Also may i add that i have a renewed, fresh and optimisticaly hopeful view on the world today.

I thought I was getting the hang of the abbreviations people use on here but 'tbh' I'm still learning because when I read " 20f degrees" in the first post I didn't think 'Fahrenheit' at all! And I couldn't work out why 20 might provoke such a strong f reaction! 😅

I think I might need another cup of tea before I do anything more complicated...

15c isnt too bad. On the cooler side but tbh most guinea pigs can handle that for a spell. Glad to hear that they seem ok now :)
