Come on Louis don't give up little chap. I would give him the painkillers, what is there to lose, you know yourself if you feel pain you go off your food. Poor chap hope you give us some good news tomorrow.:(

Definately with painkillers it perked my twin up a lot when he wasn't eating
 
to be honest i dont have any painkillers here, but just an update - he's gone even worse - hes in the living room at the moment with the OH, he just collapsed down beside him, I really think he will be gone soon - I am keeping him warm and will keep him down stairs with us until we go to bed. All I can say is thank you Louis for coming into our lives in 2007, you are the longest GP I have had and the were the second GP I got for the first time in my life - I love you loads and will miss you more than words can say. God I am crying again now cos I know he's not going to make it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I love you Louis xxxxxxxxx
 
its poss he needs some gut stimulant if his eating has been off for a while its **** is now because his gut is shutting down..ask the vet for some gut stimulant meds and the injection..

but when a guinea wants to go theres not much you can do:(:( but its worth a try...

another thing which may help him do you have a friend (guinea)that can go in with him for company?

if not put a teddy bear in with himx>>

my guinea went like yours he lost 500g in 4 wks and wee had his teeth done but i feel it made him worse after having the GA he then had gut stimulant meds 3 times a day and injections every 3 days for 2 wks and he then had a friend put in with him which perked him up he is now 1.5kg and put all his weight back on.xx

Louis passed away this morning between 6-7 am, only cos i have been up since half two. I knew he was going at 5 o clock and I was holding him. I am so sorry Louis the operation didn't help you, but it was worth a try. I am really going to miss you and I know Mark (OH) is going to miss you too. I shall miss giving you kisses on your head, you were the only one who would let me do that without running off! I know Lucy your cage mate will miss you too in her own little way.

I'm so sorry you lost Louis :( It sounded like he was poorly and maybe the teeth being overgrown was because he wasn't eating if he was poorly.
You did all you could for your lovely piggy, may he R.I.P. x
He will always be in your heart and he will no longer be suffering :)
