Oakley has a big lump come up under his neck, he's still eating well. took him to my vets this evening. vet Abby manage to draw plus out, has it was too stressfull for him (and me) he's booked in for op tomorrow morning, healing vibes to my brave little man, from me and his wifelets. oh the worries.

Oh poor Oakley! I hope his abscess removal goes OK. Stressful times for everyone. Back in May Christian had an abscess removed and it had grown from the size of the top of my thumb to this big in 10 days! and was just about to burst:yikes::yikes:

just had a call from vet Abby ,Oakley is still having his op, she can find nothing wrong with his teeth, and they are now removing the capsel. the stress!. sat here with his all wifelets in The Hutch, sending him healing vibes.

Hope all goes well.
Holding you and Oakley in my thoughts.
It’s an anxious time.

very anxious times, as vet Abby, would'nt let him go until he had pooped, picked him up 1/2 hour ago ,Abby has been brillant with him, the lump was 2 1/2 inches across ,so big, it had grow fast in four days. she has 3 piggies of her own and does no less for other piggies that she will do for her own. now hes home hes in the hospital cage at the side of me, were he will stay for the next few days. thank you to everybody from Oakley, for your healing vibes.X

Sorry just seen this thread now most of the stress is over with. Good luck with a full & speedy recovery Oakley :clap:
hopefully if they've removed the capsule then its just a case of the stitches/operation site healing :) its not the whole flushing pus'y holes n the skin to deal with :vom:
healing vibes love the girls & I.xx

Just seen this. Poor Oakley! Glad to hear he's on the mend. Sending some healing wheeks and squeaks from up north!

He's such a handsome lad, but oh dear that looks a very big scar/wound! What a big brave boy he is, hope he's still improving and I'm sure he's enjoying all that cucumber and TLC. Xx

Abscesses are horrible things! Christian had one that sounds about the same size as Oakley's and his grew fast too as mentioned earlier. Better to get that out quickly! I hope he soon starts to feel better an has a fast recovery!

update on Oakley, hes doing very well, wound is clean and dry, he's back in with his wifelets, they were pleased to see him, apart from cloudberry and Sprakleberry he soon put them in their place, lol. and this afternoon had a love follow up phone call from his vet Abby, making shore he's doing ok ,it's nice to have vet's you can trust your pet's to and that really care.
