A great development, well done Buff and Claire! xx>>>

How's he pooping and peeing now?

he still cries when weeing put not has much and he has even started to poo today little more normal but a bit smaller..

i will still keep on with hand feeding until he is back eating completley normal x

I'm very worried about buff again has he has stopped eating again and I'm very sure he is consterpated as he keeps pushing,since this afternoon but no poops will come out,what can i give him to help him to go?

I normally give 1ml of virgin olive oil to get things moving.

Are you managing to get enough fibre moving through him?

My William stopped eating a few months ago and I syringe fed him oxbow critical care every 2 hours, he also had 0.5 ml metoclopramide 3x a day, a dose of olive oil, infacol, a buscopan tablet, biolapis, fibreplex and dioralyte. It took a full 48 hours before he started to produce normal poops again and he didn't start eating on his own again for nearly 3 months so don't give up hope yet.

Any change yet Claire? I agree with Katdralion, I wonder whether he is getting enough fibre? If his gut is shutting down you will probably need some metoclopramide to start things off again - think you have to get this from the vet, might be worth giving them a call.

Have you continued with the syringe feeding? Roughly how much are you getting down him throughout the day? I have also had to syringe feed a piggy who refused to eat for himself - sometimes it can take many weeks/months before they get the hang of feeding themselves again.:{

Don't get disheartened, it can be an extremely slow process but you are doing all the right things. If you are still worried I would give the vets a call, you have nothing to lose. Sending hugs to you and Buff.

thank you :)he has been on metoclopramide for 2 days now at a dose of 0.2ml 3 times a day but ive just got back from the vets who have increased it to 0.5mls 3 times a day.she has also given him liquid paraffin at a dose of 0.5mls 2 or 3 times a day but start off slow so he doesnt get the runs i can also increase the metoclopramide to 1ml 3 times a day if needed ..

she got some wee off which looked normal but strong smelling,and got a poo out which looked small and round.his tummy felt fine but he was still sore inside and he wasnt dehydrated but id be suprised if he was the amount of times I'm feeding him haha..
