Well i had a phone call today from someone wanting me to take in her 4 guineas rolleyes well i was stuck on space but managed to have a shuffle around and accommodate them there is 2 boars teddy bear ones age 6mths to 8mths not housed together but have a bit of a fungal problem, then there is 2 sows sisters not housed together not teddy bears ones both kept separatlyrolleyesmallethead both 12mths old well both them look a little fungal but ive paired them both up but on watching fiz who ive called her :)) eating cabbage she was really struggling to get it in her mouth which rang alarms in my head that her teeth maybe a problem, on inspection of her front teeth they are very slanted,so I'm seeing AP again 2moz to get them sorted, seems to be a problem with her back teeth...
she has had some mushed pellets and really did want it the poor thing, all of them smell like dirty cages, all of them have very red sore feet, and had very long nails. its such a shame and I'm glad that i had a move around to i could take them..
there in the outside hutches not ideal but its better than where they came from:( i also found out the person is a breeder and shower and currently has 70 guineas:( makes me wonder what conditions the others are ingrrrr or **** these weren't show quality grrrr

Well done for making space for these poor guys. I hope AP is able to help the sow tomorrow with her teeth and that all the fungal infections clear up quickly. x

Well done for taking them in, I hope they get better soon

So glad these little piggies will have a chance now they are in your capable hands. Well done you for taking on these little ones..

Well done for taking them in; I hope that you and AP can sort them out between you; poor guys!

Thanks goodness you have taken them in. I hope they all feel better soon. I feel sorry for the others :(

You could also think about contacting the local council. If the ones you have are in such a bad way, the others could be too. I know I'd want the authorities to be checking her out asap.

Good luck with these piggies, especially Fiz, I hope they all improve soon. :)

well ive been to see AP today and the poor poor thinggrrrr her teeth had very Sharpe points going into her cheeks which has given her an ulcer her skin in her mouth on the other side is like wet tissue paper, her tongue was trapped and she has a dimple in her tongue from the Sharpe parts on her teeth all of her teeth had big Sharpe spurs on them and her front teeth don't grip together and she needs more treatment on them so she will **** be staying here and going to see AP with Cody when he goes every 3 wks..both the sows are ridge backs, fizz is caramel colour and molly the other one is a ridge back and is white and caramel. she is now on daktarin oral gel and mushed pellets feedsxxx

Bloody woman - basically dumping her problem piggies on you and probably carrying on breeding.

Still at least the piggies are going to be well cared for and loved now.

Think she could probably do with an RSPCA visit - but it's difficult if you haven't seen the condition that she's keeping the others in.

I hate breeders like that, it's so sad :(

Why would they even breed pigs if they are going to keep them in horrible conditions

At least now they are being looked after well :) Good luck with all the GP's and I hope they get better soon

Poor little darling. Well done for getting on to it so quickly. She must have been in such pain and discomfort. grrrr
I do think it's worth informing the RSPCA of the conditions of these pigs ie the teeth and fungal infection and asking for a checkup of her other pigs. There could be other suffering pigs if these are anything to go by. :a19:
