Poor quality veg

I am having such a problem at the moment getting hold of veg that isn't completely past its best at the point where it's being sold, let alone able to last a few days. It's obviously due to the bad weather recently, but it's really starting to become a problem. Anyone else finding this?

Apologies if I've missed other threads on this!
 
I've not really noticed but then I've only had my piggies for a week. I'm planning on tripping round the local market at closing time to grab a few bits and my auntie has an allotment so going to ask her for leaves and things for them
 
I'm really baffled that no-one else has noticed this. :{ It's so bad around here that I'm starting to think it's impossible to feed a balanced veg diet, as all the green leafy stuff is so so poor (or not even available).

My OH just came back from the supermarket (we've tried at least 3 this week so far) with what he could find - most of it yellow and fit for the bin!
 
I haven't found decent greens for weeks now. Sweetheart cabbages are a bit hit and miss too. Nothing's lasting very long either, even in the fridge. :(
 
I actually asked the man in tesco how they could advertise things as 'greens' when they were clearly 'browns'

Mum got some lovely greens in Sainsburys Monday, and carrots seem ok, but other veg is getting a bit rubbish I agree...and the prices are creeping up...
 
My sainsburys had hardly anything on the fruit and veg section for weeks. They have the regular selection back now but said it was the weather and the crops wouldn't ripen.
 
We are really struggling to get decent greens - especially the parsley
 
I managed to find some decent parsley in the green house! :)

I've found *touch wood* that Tesco seem to be okay with veg. The stuff I've brought so far seems to be fine....Appart from the bugs in my Brocoli last week! :|
