ive just been the chemist for some more syringes ,. had to convince the guy i wasnt a crack head! argh so ashamed!"

I would request they Xray him. As a UTI is sometimes most likely, it's not always the case and as stones are more dangerous in Boys, it's best to rule them out. Then you know what you are treating.

Good Luck!

Good luck - as Flintsones has said I would ask for an xray also nad possibly find out about the chances of a ultrasound. They can pick up on what an xray may miss. Hope things go well, give Terry a head rub for me.

just got back. Phew. She tested all 3 samples i brought 2 had blood and showed infection. I asked for an x ray to be done just incase there was stones. It came back clear (was done without ga btw). Hes on bayril, metacam,i got a pro biotic and some syringes. He was a very good little man while getting prodded. He got lots of attention from the nurses cos hes gorgeous, little tart! she wants to see him next sat to see how he's doing and to get another weeks meddys if he needs them. My Piggie vet fund savings account is considerably lighter but ho hum thats the way it goes.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh dam :{
Well at least now you know what's up, the meds should kick in within a couple of days and he'll be wheeeking like crazy at you again bless him xx>>>

Had to giggle at the video, busily munching away and then..........ooooh what's that mummy? oh a video.........can i see........ :(|)x) Mr. Nosey Boy xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Glad he's back, I thought about him today. At least you know what it is and hopefully the antibiotics will kick in and do the job.

Wishing him all the best from this end, Get Well Soon. Poor little lad, he will need extra attention and treats and extra cuddles according to my girls...

Thought i'd update a little. Terrys is alot better ive had him out once a day on a white towerl and cant see anyblood. He's been shouting his head off the last few days for chin tickles (he waits with his chin in the air lol). I havn't heard any pained noises from him all week either! although he has cottoned on I'm putting the probiotic on cucumber so he wont take it today grrr clever little man.

Ive been giving bilbo some metacam once a day, figured it would help with his sore tootsie. b/He's been great with taking it, dont even have to get him out the cage. i put the syringe through the bars and he comes and takes it tee hee! the ointment from gorgwous guineas turned up 3 days ago and his tootsie is ALOT better. The scab is starting to come off and swelling has gone down quite a bit.

So a good week for getting well piggies!phew

ps I'm **** going to take terry on sat like the vet said to check him over and more meds if she thinks he needs it.

Aww great to hear that Terry is more like his pigself again x)
I love it when they raise their chinny's for a scritch :)
So glad your week is getting better!
Lots of healing wheeeeeeks and loves to Terry and Bilbo from us all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Terrys poops arnt right! he hasnt got the squits but some of his poops are squishy! Ive just let him out so i can see them (nice!) some are normal and some are squishy. He had his last dose of baytril yesterday could this be why? should i continue with the probiotic? or i was thinking maybe its because hes had a few pieces of apple over the last few days.

Just to add he's eating fine, behaving fine and weeking alot as normal!

OR could it be because ive just changed there hay? all the others are fine though.

I would continue with the probiotic until the poos are normal again and keep an eye on his weight.

He's a little swine for takin gthe probiotic! He's cottoned on I'm bribing him with cucumber with it on! so I'm having to force it. When i think he's took it he spits it out!

i sprinkle probiotics on their wet food at night and sometimes i do this and mix it into their pellet mix for the day time :)
You could mix it up and then add a dash or so of pureed fruit so he thinks it's a slushy mix ;)
I agree with Wiebke, keep giving it to him, baytril really stuffs up their little tums :{ and weigh regularly :)
Hugs for you and wheeeeeks for Terry XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

thought id update again. His poops are normal and no pain noises! He's back to his cuddly shouty self! hooray!
