One of my Boys has not been eating as much lately, he starts but then stops after a few mins whereas usually he is my extra greedy one.

Took him to the vet who did xrays & has taken a blood sample which I am waiting for. X-rays showed nothing, no bladder stones, dental X-rays good.
He thought his back teeth may have been slightly sharp so filed them very slightly.

He was really spaced out when I picked him up, and has been reluctant to come out since. Total change of personality.

He’s been eating hay & grass, and a little veg. Seemed quiet but ate a little supper last night before bed.

I’ve got up this morning, he looks like he’s getting deathly. He’s slow, heavy eyed. Has eaten a little leafy veg but very slowly & not much at all. Have syringed some water & I'm about to syringe some pellet mash until I can take him to the vet this morning & get some critical care.

Any ideas? We don’t have the blood test back yet, should be Monday, but why the hell would he be worse when X-rays are showing nothing?!?

This is really stressing me & I regret taking him at all now as he was at least more himself before I did. I have a small surgery myself on Monday & am trying to avoid stress this weekend 😩

Is he in any gut stimulants?

Sorry what do you mean? I am currently giving him critical care, vet has given me sulfatrim anti biotic and randitine for his tummy while we wait for blood result.

I don’t think he will make the weekend at this rate he seems very ill.

Rantadine is a gut stim to make sure things are pushing through

Have seen the vet, this is what I’ve been given til we get results back..

Do you mean his walking? I think he may need a vet buddy today by sounds of it :(
Not his walking just when I pick him up or hold him. I think he must have an organ failing or something & I have no idea why when he’s only 2 and has always been so healthy!?

What did they vet say? Sorry you are going through this, hope the blood tests can help identify what may be going on

There’s nothing more they can do until they know what the issue is. The weekend delays the blood test results they’re due back Monday but I can’t see him making it that long. I feel like he’s in some kind of renal failure. I just cannot believe this! He wasn’t eating as much when I took him in for X-ray, vet said he thought he may have been tender around his bladder. But X-ray & bladder scan showed nothing. He didn’t really pick up from the vets, he’s been quite spaced out ever since & he only had some gas nothing injectable.

He was eating grass & bits of veg up until last night I’ve got up this morning & he’s awful!

I think that it might be worth a call to the vets to discuss him. Hugs.
