One of my newly adopted pair, Connie, was behaving slightly differently today. More vocal than usual (and that is very vocal) and slightly grumpy with her cage mate Violet. I noticed that Violet was nosing her on the side where her bladder is, so watched carefully and put down some cream fleece. You guessed it some blood in her urine. My vets are amazing and fitted us in as an emergency so tonight she has started on metacam and Baytril and in the morning she is going in for an X-ray to check for bladder stones. I'm absolutely gutted for my poorly girl. Please send her your healing vibes.

Fingers firmly crossed! You ar a very attentive mummy, so she has got all the help straight away. Hopefully, it is just UTI.

Well done for spotting it so quickly! Fingers crossed for no stones!

Keeping everything crossed here. Hopefully is just an infection.

I hope she feels better soon. They are such a worry aren't they. The positive vibes seem to be working for Piglet so we are sending some your way too. xx

Connie is now back from the vets. Thankfully the X-Ray showed no stones, so we continue with the metacam and Baytril plus nutracys to see how she goes. She seems very pleased to be home and is happily munching through her body weight in hay. Thanks for your healing vibes.

Lots of healing vibes to Connie, hope the AB's and the metacam do the trick quickly. x

Connie is definitely on the mend. Today during carpet time she was running both clockwise and anticlockwise circuits of the room, jumping and climbing into boxes she's banned from, attacking my laces and did the biggest wee I've seen in ages on my carpet with no signs of discomfort or blood. Feeling optimistic that the treatment is working.
