George is booked in to the vets tomorrow. He has got a clear discharge coming from his right eye and nostril. He isn't wheezy and he's still alert/eating but I want it looked at ASAP.

Could this be a symptom of a URI? It seems weird that it's unilateral and not on both sides.

Thanks

I don't know the answer to your question but want to send healing vibes and big hugs to George. Get well soon.

You are right to get him checked out by a vet. It could be the start of a URTI. Healing vibes to George.

It does seem like a URI, you are right to get him checked. Hope all goes ok. Allergies are a possibility if a URI is ruled out?

The vet believes George has a possible sinus infection and we've been prescribed some antibiotics.

I've just gone in to check on him though and there was blood on the end of his nose and on his bedding, and crusty blood around his eye! I've cleaned it up and he's eating but going to call the vet first thing tomorrow. My partner and I were saying how he's never ill just last week :( spoke too soon. Don't want anything to happen to our baby.

I think you are spot on to call the vet again in the morning. How worrying for you.
