blood in the water works is normal after a stone removal and should settle down in a few days.
what antibiotics is he on?
as septrin is the best one really to be on for around 7-10 days after the removal of a stone, did you manage to get some cystease ordered as he really does need this!

He's on Baytril - 0.2 in the morning and evening.

how old is he? as you could increase this to 0.2.5mls twice a day, please, please make sure he is on probiotics with this antibiotic as it can really upset their gut and cause them severe diarrhea....
how long has he got to be on this for?
as it maybe worth asking the vet for septrim which is excerlant for the water works and is less harmful on the gut x

Ariel is still on Baytril 0.5ml twice daily (for the pneumonia), 0.2 may not be enough. Are you syringing extra water?

0.5ml 2 times a day is for bad infections and is used as a high dose to act fast to get onto of the infection.
0.2.5mls twice a day is ok as a antibiotic preventative after surgery and not where there is active infection x

He went to the vet today and they are happy with him - wound is fine, he's pooing and eating. Today he's eaten more than he did yesterday and there's no longer any blood in his urine.
I'm not syringing any water. I did ask the vet and she said as long as his poo was normal to leave him as he is. He seems so much happier tonight too.

I'm not sure how long he has to take the anti-biotic for. I've only got 2.5 of it so that's...7 days worth?
