Hello, I’ve just been into my piggies and noticed my piggy layed in the same spot as earlier. I went to stroke him and he normally runs away but he stayed in the same place.

I’ve spotted some sloppy poos around the cage, and his bum was mucky.

I’ve had a piggy who unfortunately passed the rainbow bridge when having these symptoms.

Does anyone know any good vets for piggies as I still don’t know what caused the other one to pass

I’m in Sheffield.

He’s currently in a cage by himself and is being syringe fed every 2hours and also having water. He’s cuddled up on a hot water bottle. I’ve rang the vets but I cannot afford the bill at the moment until tomorrow afternoon so I’m going to take him to the local vet tomorrow. I suspect it may be umonia :(
He’s had sloppy poos before but only for around an hour or so and then they’ve gone back to solid and that was around a month or two ago.

He’s purked up a little bit but I’m keeping a close eye on him. He’s at the side of my bed which is quieter than in the room with the others. And he’s done a little bit of a solid poo too.

I use Lucy or Annalise at park veterinary hospital in millhouses. Ideally go and see the Guinea pig vet Ellie Whitehead in Matlock. She has a surgery today

How is he today?

sad news, unfortunately he didn’t make it to the vets. He’s now also passed the rainbow bridge.
Thankyou for the advice guys 😊x

I feel for you, they seem to go so quick at times.

I’m going to get an autopsy done as I seems like he passed from the same thing as the other did. I would rather know what it was as I don’t want to loose the rest of them to the same thing. :)

Thankyou all :) much appreciated. Absolutely devistated, such small animals hold a huge place in your heart. At least he’s no longer in pain :)
