All was fine at 2pm, noticed his eye looking like this at 2:35pm. Taken him to the vets, they gave him local anaesthetic but he wouldn't keep still for them to look. They gave option of eye drops and see how it goes or leave him there for anaesthetic so they can check it out properly. So now I'm waiting for the phone call, fingers crossed it's good news!

Poor boy! That is looking nasty, like he ran into something hard!

At least - and please take a deep breath of relief - the eyeball itself looks undamaged, so his sight is not in danger. :tu:

Just picked Tommy up from the vet. He has torn the convetia (or however it is spelt) has some metacam and some eye drops. Ellsb3lls will update later

Looking much better now its been cleaned up. She thinks he might have got something in his eye and he scratched to remove it and tore his conjunctiva. They have checked and there is nothing in the eye and its all been washed out. He's had his first dose of metacam, which he loved !?! and some cuddles and mint and is now munching on his hay. Check up on Thursday now.

Poor boy.
Glad it’s not serious and hopefully will heal quickly.
That must have scared the life out of you.
Well done getting him to the vet so promptly
