My male guinea has been beaten up by the other males. I have separated him but wanted advice as online it suggests he has uri... he had lost alot of weight and seems to be blind but is making no noises.. he was all hunched up but he is not now and he has gained weight.he is eatin and drinking well and going potty normal too. He looks a poor thing as he is bald and covered in scabs and his ears have been shredded.any advice is much apprieciated.

Please take him to the vets to get the treatment he needs.

Good job you got him away from your others if they were bullying him.

I am going to take him. He already looks much brighter. I have bathed his ears and bald patches..and was over the moon to hear a squeak for some carrot. He is snuggled on a heat pad now. Never knew they could do this to each other!

4 males. They have lived together nearly 2 years. It was such a shock as i had seen no clues that they had 'disagreements' before.. they live in a 6x8 shed joined on the house and have loads of space :0

I'm sorry to hear they have had a bust up after 2 years together.
It is quite unusual for 4 boars to live hormonously - however if their personnalities work together fine then it is always possible.

In the mean time if you could try and look at possible causes of a fall out -May be your piggie is ill and the others picked up on this and it has caused the bullying. Or any external factors, smells from Sow piggies? Change of enviroment. Sometimes you will never know, but its worth trying to look at triggers.

He seems so much better already. He has always been a bit 'special' he is cross eyed and was the under-pig that was why i chose him. I felt so sorry for him. He doesn't behave the same as any piggy i have ever had but we love him. I think the others know something I dont :o
